Our Patients Drive Innovation
Today, the Parkinson’s Institute and Clinical Center continues to impact patients and their families living with Parkinson’s and other movement disorders, including essential tremor and dystonia.
In late December 2018, we relocated to the campus of El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, California. This move elevates the standard of care for Parkinson’s patients by closely partnering with and sharing our mutual expertise of Parkinson’s and other movement disorders with essential medical specialists such as gastroenterologists, urologists, cardiologists, and neurosurgeons.
At PICC, our patients drive innovation. This unique model places patient, physician, and research as one integrated unit, speeds innovation and discovery, and makes us leaders in the prevention, care, and fight to find a cure for Parkinson’s and related neurodegenerative disorders.
We set the direction for identifying the cause, cure, and best treatment of Parkinson’s in three primary ways:
- Exceptional patient care
- Cutting-edge clinical trials
- Innovative translational research
Our research brings together the very best scientists in the field of movement disorders. Together, we identify risk factors to understand the causes of Parkinson’s and other movement disorders, as we work toward a cure.
In addition to our clinical research department, we host the renowned Molitor Lab.
